2011 chevy cobalt model
2011 chevy cobalt reviews
Chevrolet gives on of its well known compact car series a redesign to deliver better performance and fuel economy. The current Cobalt will be taking a switch from Delta to a Gamma platform with the arrival of the Chevrolet Cobalt 2011 model. When it comes to the driving performance and power, the "2011 Chevrolet Cobalt" will run on a four-cylinder engine with a front-wheel drive system. A non-turbo version can only produce up to 90 horsepower, which should represent the engine performance for base models in the European market. The pricing for the base 2011 chevy cobalt model is expected to stay at around $16,000 and the loaded versions of the same model could go up to as high as $21,500.
The redesign approach incorporated into the 2011 Chevrolet Cobalt initially appears to be too ambitious.
We’ve had our share of Daewoo-engineered cars in North America. Unfazed by criticism of previous Daewoo-designed cars, GM gave the Koreans design leadership for the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze compact car. Moreover, the Cruze is the first iteration of GM’s Delta II platform, which will host a number of new, global vehicles, including the Chevrolet Orlando MPV, the next-gen Opel/Vauxhall Astra, and an upcoming Buick version of the Astra.
Europe gets the Cruze first; we’ll have to wait another year. In Europe, the Cruze merely replaces the Daewoo Lacetti and Nubira—two inexpensive and nondescript entries sold here as the Suzuki Reno and Forenza, respectively.
In Europe, the Cruze launches with two gasoline four-cylinders—a 1.6-liter that makes 111 hp and a 1.8-liter producing 139 hp—and a 148-hp, 2.0-liter turbo-diesel that likely will spawn a 123-hp variant in the future. We’ll see the 1.8-liter gasoline engine here, as well as a 140-hp, 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder—expected to return at least 40 mpg combined—that will debut as the car hits the North American market. Solidly Built and Drives Well
The Cruze is low on breakthrough technologies, but it is a thoroughly well-engineered car, with an ultra-strong structure and low center of gravity.

2011 Mazda CX-9 Reviews
With the 2011 Mazda CX-9, the "zoom-zoom" gang has cooked up a large SUV that won't disappoint drivers with sporty intentions.
This seven-seat SUV is available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive and comes in three flavors: Sport, Touring, or Grand Touring. The tester that graced my presence was a Grand Touring with all-wheel drive.
That base price does include 20-inch wheels, leather-trimmed seats in the first and second rows, a tilt/telescope steering wheel, heated front seats, rain sensing wipers, a roof spoiler, blind-spot monitoring, ABS, roll stability control, fog lamps, an antiskid system, traction control, an auxiliary jack, a wireless cell phone link, keyless entry and starting, and a trip computer.
The 2011 Mazda CX-9 ranks 1 out of 24 Affordable Midsize SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 52 published reviews and test drives of the Mazda CX-9, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.
Reviewers say the "2011 Mazda CX-9" manages to thread the needle: it’s a seven-seat SUV that’s actually fun to drive.
The major downside to the "Mazda CX-9" is its price: even among seven-seat SUVs, it’s a little high. Other seven-seat crossovers stand out by offering features the CX-9 can’t match.
The Mazda CX-9 is available in three trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The "base" CX-9 comes well equipped with standard 18-inch wheels, power moonroof, heated mirrors, three-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, Bluetooth compatibility, side-impact air bags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS) and Roll Stability Control (RSC).
Upgrading to the Mazda CX-9 Touring trim level yields available power opening and closing rear liftgate, advanced keyless entry, 4-way power adjustable front seats, Bose audio and a backup camera.
The premium trim level designated by the Grand Touring moniker delivers upgraded 20-inch wheels, Xenon headlamps, halogen fog lamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, driver's seat memory and available rear-entertainment system, DVD-based navigation and the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) System.
FWD is standard and yields 16 city, 22 highway estimated MPG.

Audi R8 Spyder
The Audi R8 is still a newcomer on the supercar market, despite the fact that the coupe version of the car has been around since 2007
Here’s what Lowe Roche created for the R8 Spyder: a car cover with the appearance of an R8 Spyder.
The latest in the Audi advertisement campaign against the other German brands is this car cover aimed at BMW and Mercedes-Benz owners who are disappointed with their vehicles, as well as the rest of us who can’t afford one really.
Here are the words, straight from Lowe Roche: "Don’t have an Audi R8 Spyder? Trick your neighbors, and best of all, trick yourself into thinking you have the car of your dreams. Perfect for the BMW or Mercedes owner in your life filled with regret."

2011 WRX STI announces special specifications
While we’re thrilled to have the new 2011 WRX STI on sale here, as usual, Subaru Japan has one-upped the U.S. offering with the new 2011 WRX STI Spec C. The Spec C packs 304-hp and 317 lb-ft of torque from its 2.0L powerplant thanks to a revamped ECU and ball-bearing twin-scroll turbocharger.
Subaru Tecnica International (STI, President Hiroyuki Karamatsu) announces “WRX STI tS” and “WRX STI A-Line tS” special specifications vehicle that are based on 4-door SUBARU WRX STI and WRX STI A-Line (AT model) featuring the unique equipment and tasting.
The “WRX STI tS” and the “WRX STI A-Line tS” based on 4-door SUBARU WRX STI models are STI complete cars adopting STI’s unique specifications equipment to exterior, interior and chassis, and give drivers even more satisfaction to own and drive the vehicle. Other features include Front Under Spoiler, newly designed STI 18 inch alloy Wheel, side sill plates with the “tS” logo, special tS front and rear Ornaments, special STI rear Ornament, Steering Wheel with the “tS” logo, and Push Engine Switch.
Last year we saw the first iteration of the new Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C, a lighter and more hardcore version of the then-new Impreza WRX STI that was built in a limited run of just 900 cars. The car essentially featured enhanced engine and chassis performance as well as the aforementioned lighter body, which was derived from Subaru motorsports program.
The adoption of an aluminum engine hood, laminar window glasses and a downsized battery resulted in a lighter body, which further refines the model’s driving performance. Additionally, thanks to its specially tuned front and rear suspension, the chassis offers improved handling, especially in the wet.

2011 BMW Z4 Reviews
The 2011 BMW Z4’s specs are as follows
BMW has added a few new paint finishes to the mix, however, as well as the optional M Sports Package. The sDrive35is model will offer features like 18-inch light-alloy wheels in a five-spoke pattern as standard equipment. The 2011 BMW Z4 comes in three trim levels: the sDrive30i, the sDrive35i, and the sDrive35is.
Standard interior features on the base models of the two-seat roadster include leatherette vinyl upholstery, HD radio, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and six-way manually adjustable seats.
A six-speed manual transmission comes standard on all trims but the sDrive35is, which offers BMW’s dual-clutch seven-speed transmission. Remarkably, the high-performance version of the 2011 BMW Z4 is not as thirsty as one would expect because of its sophisticated BMW EfficientDynamics technology--As with all luxury sports cars, car insurance premiums on the 2011 Z4 are likely to be high.
For the 2010 Detroit show, BMW is bringing along a new range-topping Z4, one with a massaged engine, subtly modified looks, and a load of M Sport touches.
Transmission options number one; the sDrive35is will be available only with BMW’s seven-speed double-clutch transmission. BMW estimates a 0-to-60-mph time of 4.7 seconds—we’ve seen 4.8-second runs from a standard sDrive35i and wouldn’t be surprised if the sDrive35is can manage the task in something closer to 4.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph. What’s more, BMW expects the 35is car to match the EPA mileage rating of the 35i with dual-clutch transmission—17 mpg city/24 highway. The Z4 35is gets unique, sporty programming for its electric power steering system. We’ve derided this system in the standard car, calling it vague and lacking in feedback. Standard wheels are 18-inch five-spokes, with 19s available as an option. Interior trim is done in what BMW calls Aluminum Carbon, which supposedly renders the look of a carbon-fiber weave in aluminum.
The "2011 BMW Z4" is a two-seat retractable-hardtop luxury roadster available in three trim levels that correspond with engine choice: sDrive30i, sDrive35i and sDrive35is.
Standard equipment on the sDrive30i includes 17-inch wheels, adjustable sport driving settings (steering, throttle and automatic transmission if applicable), automatic adaptive xenon headlights, automatic wipers, a fully powered retractable hardtop, cruise control, leatherette premium vinyl upholstery, six-way manually adjustable seats and a sound system that includes a single-CD player, auxiliary audio jack and HD radio. This package includes 18-inch wheels, adaptive suspension dampers, an aerodynamic body kit, increased top speed, a thicker M steering wheel and 10-way manually adjustable sport seats with power bolster adjustment.
The Cold Weather package adds to all models heated seats, a heated steering wheel, retractable headlight washers and a trunk pass-through. The Premium package adds auto-dimming mirrors, power-adjustable seats, BMW Assist telematics, Bluetooth and on the 30i, leather upholstery and automatic climate control. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a traditional six-speed automatic is optional. EPA-estimated fuel economy with both transmissions is 18 mpg city/28 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined.
A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a dual-clutch seven-speed automated manual is optional. The dual-clutch automated manual is standard. BMW estimates a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds. Estimated fuel economy is 17/24/19.
Side impact airbags, antilock brakes with brake assist and stability control are all standard on the 2011 BMW Z4. BMW Assist emergency telematics is optional.
The 2011 BMW Z4's cabin is sleek and upscale.
Even the base "2011 BMW Z4" sDrive30i is an entertaining drive thanks to its willing and exceptionally smooth 255-hp inline-6.

VW Golf R come in US 2012
Volkswagen on Thursday said it is upping the ante with the Golf in the U.S. by bringing a version of the Europe-market Golf R here in 2012. It will be the fastest Golf production model ever sold the U.S., VW said.
The 2011 Subaru WRX STI starts at $34,720, including a $725 destination charge.
The 2011 Golf GTI's 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 200 horsepower. Other details include an upgraded sport-tuned suspension, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, unique steering wheel and interior trim, exterior R model badge and body kit, R model shift knob, R model door sills and front and rear fascia with dual exhausts.
Volkswagen AG announced its plans to introduce the Volkswagen Golf R in the United States for the 2012 model year which will be the successor to the 2004 and 2008 R32. Volkswagen is often credited with creating the original hot hatch in 1983 with its Golf-based GTI, and this latest performance hatchback model will only deepen the legacy of the famed GTI. For improved handling, the Golf R will feature a sport-tuned suspension, retuned stability control settings and larger brakes.
Up front, the Golf’s economy-minded appearance is given a more aggressive look thanks to a reworked fascia with oversize air inlets. The Golf R also has a lowered stance that is accented by the exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels that feature a stylish five triple-spoke design. Like the previous R32 models, the Golf R will also receive a center exit exhaust with dual chrome tips.
The U.S. hasn’t seen a high performance, all-wheel drive version of the Volkswagen Golf since 2008 when the R32 was discontinued.
The car employs a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, 4Motion all-wheel drive, and receives larger brakes and firmer suspension than the current GTI.”
While the Golf R employs the same size engine as the current Volkswagen GTI, expect a significant bump in horsepower. “While we enjoyed the energetic handling of the GTI Golf, the 200-hp turbo four-cylinder wasn’t the quickest in the segment,” says Cars.com. “The Golf R should correct that problem.”

2011 Porsche Cayenne Reviews
Porsche purists may have hated the Porsche Cayenne from the moment of its inception, but the success of the truck has allowed the continued production of cars that enthusiasts yearn for. Even though that bid failed and Porsche has become part of the VW Group, the new bosses certainly recognize the importance of the "Porsche Cayenne" to Porsche’s bottom line. The new Porsche Cayenne is 1.8 inches longer overall and rides on a wheelbase stretched 1.6 inches, making for a ¬roomier rear seat that now slides fore and aft by 6.3 inches. There are 24 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, up from 19; with the rear seats folded, the Cayenne will accept 63 cubic feet of stuff, about the same as before.
The air suspension automatically raises the Cayenne’s body, and the center differential locks. At full throttle, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo jumped to about 50 mph seemingly instantly.
If the 2011 Porsche Cayenne is any indication, Porsche engineers got the message loud and clear. Engineers saved mass everywhere—including 17.4 pounds from the wheels, 72.4 pounds from the all-wheel-drive system and an impressive 86 pounds from the doors.
The biggest news on the option sheet is the new hybrid motor, which bumps the model range to four trim levels—the base Cayenne, Cayenne S, Hybrid and Turbo. With a nickel-metal hydride battery pack and a 47-hp electric motor, the Cayenne Hybrid uses a 3-liter supercharged V6 engine to crank out 333 hp at 5500 rpm and a hefty 428 ft-lbs of torque at 3000 rpm. For the record, that's more torque than the V8-powered Cayenne S, with better fuel economy (official EPA mileage figures have yet to be determined).
As for the Cayenne S, the truck now features an eight-speed automatic transmission and a nudge in power—up to 400 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 369 ft-lbs of torque at 3500 rpm.
The lion's share of changes goes to the range-topping Cayenne Turbo. Thanks to a significantly more composed suspension and enormous 19-inch carbon-ceramic brakes (which are optional), the vehicle finally drives like a Porsche. The turbo engine is good for 500 hp at 6000 rpm and 516 ft-lbs of torque at 2250 rpm.
There's plenty of power throughout the rev-range, thanks to the supercharger and the inherent torque of the electric motor. The Porsche Cayenne S, Hybrid, and Turbo are all noticeably more competent than their ancestors, and the claimed 23 percent improvement in efficiency is staggering. The base Cayenne will start at $46,700—$1200 more than the 2010 model, and the popular Cayenne S checks in at $63,700.

The New Nissan Sunny
Using the famed Nissan Sunny name, this new model will go on sale first in China in January 2011 and then progressively across 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names.
Nissan continues to flesh out its sedan lineup, introducing the "Nissan Sunny" at the 2010 China International Auto Show and confirming that the car is coming to the U.S. at some point. The compact Nissan Sunny is smaller than the Nissan Altima and is designed to be more fuel-efficient.
The Nissan Sunny will be equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine connected to a CVT. Nissan has not yet released any technical specifications on the car.
The Nissan Sunny was first introduced in China in 2003 as the first locally built model from the Dongfeng Nissan partnership.
Dongfeng Nissan launched the latest generation of the Nissan Sunny sedan earlier today at the Guangzhou Auto Show and made way for the future Nissan Versa sedan in the USA if you believe the rumors. In the Chinese market it is expected that the Sunny will become Nissan’s compact sedan whilst the Nissan Tiida will become the line up’s compact hatchback and thus won’t be available in notchback sedan form as before.

A limousine (or limo) is a luxury vehicle sedan or saloon car, especially one with a lengthened wheelbase or driven by a chauffeur. The chassis of a limousine may have been extended by the manufacturer or by an independent coachbuilder. These are referred to as "stretch" limousines and are traditionally black or white in color. Limousines are usually liveried vehicles, driven by professional chauffeurs. As the most expensive form of automobile ground transportation, limousines are culturally associated with extreme wealth or power, and are commonly cited as an example of conspicuous consumption. Among the less wealthy, limousines are also often hired during special events (most commonly weddings and funerals).
While some limousines are owned by individuals, many are owned by governments to transport senior politicians, by large companies to transport executives, or by broadcasters to transport guests[citation needed]. Most stretch limousines, however, operate as livery vehicles, providing upmarket competition to taxicabs. Most builders of stretch limousines are located in the United States and Europe and cater mainly to limousine companies. Few stretch limousines are sold new to private individuals. In addition to luxuries, security features such as armoring and bulletproof glass are available.

1908 Studebaker Brothers limousine with open driver's compartment for the chauffeur and a closed cabin for the passengers
History
Winton Six Limousine, 1915, with driver in a compartment separate from the passengers, a distinctive limousine feature.
The first automobile limousine, built in 1902, was designed so the driver sat outside under a covered compartment.[1] The word limousine is derived from the name of the French region Limousin, because this covered compartment physically resembled the cloak hood worn by the shepherds there. An alternate etymology has the chauffeur wearing a Limousin-style cloak in the open driver's compartment, for protection from the weather.[2][3][4]
The first “stretch limousine” was created in Fort Smith, Arkansas around 1928 by a coach company named Armbruster. These cars were primarily used to transport famous “big band” leaders, such as Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman, and their bands and equipment. These early stretch limousines were often called “big band buses”.

Limousine types
The limousine body style has a divider separating the driver from the rear passenger compartment.[2] This partition usually contains a sliding (often soundproof) glass window so that conversations between passengers in the rear compartment may be kept private from the chauffeur. Communication with the driver is possible either by opening the window in the partition or by using an intercom system.Traditional
Lincoln Limousine used by U. S. President Calvin Coolidge, c. 1924
Traditionally, the limousine has been an extension of a large car. A longer frame and wheelbase allow the rear passenger compartment to contain the usual forward facing passenger seat but with a substantial amount of foot room — more than is actually needed. Usually then two "jump seats" are mounted, facing rearward behind the driver. These seats fold up when not in use. In this way, up to five persons can be carried in the aft compartment in comfort, and up to two additional persons carried in the driver's compartment, for a total capacity of seven passengers in addition to the driver. This type of seat configuration has however become less popular in recent limousines, although this design without the two front passenger seats is still characteristic of London's famous Black Cabs.

Modern limousines
Newer limousines such as the Maybach 62, Rolls Royce Phantom, Audi A8L, Volkswagen Phaeton, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Jaguar XJ, BMW 7-Series, Lincoln Town Car Edition, and the Cadillac DTS do not feature jump seats since stretch limousines are usually used to transport more than three passengers, excluding the driver. In production American limousines however, the jump seats almost always faced forward. The last production limousine, by Cadillac, with forward facing jump seats was in 1987 (with their Fleetwood Series 75 car), the last Packard in 1954, and the last Lincoln in 1939, though Lincoln has offered limousines through their dealers as special order vehicles at times. Several Lincoln Premier cars were also built, one being owned by Elvis Presley. Vehicles of this type in private use may contain expensive audio players, televisions, video players, and bars, often with refrigerators.
It is simpler to determine the effects of altering a separate chassis than it is to determine the effects of altering a load-bearing unitized platform body. Coach builders have built models based on SUVs with a separate load-bearing chassis.

Stage
Another type of vehicle modified for multiple passenger use is the motorized stage, applied to the same tasks as the earlier stagecoach. It is not considered a true limousine but rather in its design and application is between a sedan and a bus. While a bus will have a central interior aisle for access to seating, a stage has multiple doors that allow access to transverse forward facing seats. Examples of the type were constructed not only from sedans (e.g., Chrysler New Yorker, Cadillac DeVille), but also from station wagons; many of the station wagon conversions sported a large rack, running the length of the roof, for carrying the passengers' baggage.
This type of vehicle was once rather common in some locations. An example of its use was in the transport of travelers arriving by railroad at Merced, California to travel to Yosemite National Park in the first half of the 20th century and at other remote parks. In Yosemite, passengers would then stay in rustic platform tent camps or more expensive lodges and hike or rent bicycles for movement around the park. In Glacier National Park, the stages were referred to as "Jammers" in reference to the nickname of their gear-jamming drivers.
Some funeral homes maintain six-door stages to carry the family of the deceased between the church and the cemetery. These are usually not used for private hire.

Exotic limousines
Sometimes a coach builder or car designer will develop the "ultimate" stretch limo, adding amenities that are somewhat impractical but which make a significant design statement. One such design includes tandem rear axles to support the weight of an operational hot tub.
These extensive limousine conversions have been performed on several luxury marques and fast cars, including: Bentley, BMW, Cadillac, Chrysler, Ford, Holden, Hummer, Infiniti, Jaguar, Lexus, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce and Volkswagen. In the United States the most popular vehicles for stretch limousines conversion are the Lincoln Town Car, Cadillac DTS, Cadillac Escalade, Chrysler 300C, Hummer H2, Ford Excursion, and the Lincoln Navigator. There are even instances of Corvettes, Ferraris, Mini Coopers and VW Beetles being stretched to accommodate up to 10 passengers.

Novelty limousines
Sometimes a vehicle is converted simply for the novelty. These include the East German Trabant that was designed for a low manufacturing cost and incorporated body panels made from a rag fiber and plastic resin material. Volkswagen Beetles, Fiat Pandas, and Citroën 2CV vehicles are occasionally stretched into limousines.
The limousine and chauffeur industry has been one of the hardest hit industries in the global economic downturn. Many of the smaller limousine operations have struggled to survive with the collapse of many corporate giants. As larger corporations aim to reduce cost they have significantly cut back on travel. This has led to many small operators closing.
Driver Licencing
In some countries the driver may need to have a different driving licence to that of a car licence.
In Europe if the vehicle is under 3500 kg gross vehicle weight and can carry eight passengers or less than this can be driven on a category B driving licence. Vehicles under 7500 kg GVW but still carries eight passengers or less than a category C1 Large Goods Vehicle licence is required. Vehicles carrying 16 passengers or less, regardless of the GVW weight require a category D1 licence.
Other uses
In the USA, Canada and Australia limousines can be any type of car operated by a "Limousine service" or "car service". Such companies offer cars with drivers, often for shared rides on popular routes, such as airport limousines. Limousines usually have to be booked in advance and are not hired on the spot as taxi cabs can.

The entire range of 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 supports successful race bread and this 2012 model is a worthy successor of 1969 model. Ford motors are writing a new formula for fast by launching 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302.
2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is installed with bigger and better front brakes and updated brake pads which enhances braking to best ever install on Mustang--Mustang boss is armored with bullet proof and blower free body--The booking of 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 will start by early weeks of Jan 2011.
It’s no secret that, near the end of 2009, Ford Racing announced the Mustang Boss 302R, a full-race, off-road-only vehicle complete with roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition, race dampers/springs and Brembo brakes.
"Racing can serve as a technical proving ground for production cars," said Jamie Allison, director, Ford Racing. To celebrate the racing heritage of the new "Mustang Boss 302", Ford will also offer a limited number of Boss 302 Laguna Seca models, named for the track where Parnelli Jones won the 1970 Trans-Am season opener in a Boss 302--In the back, standard Mustang GT brakes are upgraded with a Boss-specific high-performance pad compound.
Changes to the Mustang Boss exterior are subtle but unmistakable. How do you amp up a performance car package as complete as the new 2012 Mustang Boss 302 – already a street-legal race car in its own right?--Laguna Seca cars are powered by the same smooth, high-winding 440-hp 5.0-liter V8 as the standard Boss, since the engine was already tuned specifically for road racing.
As a race car should, Boss 302 models with the Laguna Seca package look like nothing else on the road--"Ford Racing had challenged the Boss engine team to give them the first available Boss 302 engines," explains Harrison--Despite its racing heritage – and the rigors of track-day testing – the Boss 302 V8 is still a production Ford engine, built alongside the 5.0-liter GT engine at Essex Engine Plant in Ontario, Canada.

2011 Acura RDX Reviews
The big news for the 2011 model year is the addition of a front-wheel drive RDX model– up until now the Acura RDX has only been available with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. The AWD model remains unchanged at 17/20mpg city/highway.
After a small facelift in 2010, the Acura RDX is due for a major design overhaul in 2011. Closer to model year 2012, an RDX with a turbodiesel engine may also debut. The new RDX’s release is set for late fall 2010. Read on for our initial car review of the 2011 Acura RDX.
Acura's cute 'ute gets a mid-cycle facelift to bring it in-line with the rest of the Acura line-up – meaning if you haven't warmed up to Acura's shield grille you might want to look elsewhere--The only mechanical change for 2010 is the addition of a front-wheel drive model to the RDX range.
Front-wheel drive is still standard, but Acura’s topnotch Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive - SH-AWD - is also available. When you throw in an exquisite interior and ample cargo space, the 2011 Acura RDX is a bona fide winner. What we know about the 2011 Acura RDX’s specs is summarized below.
Pricing: the 2011 RDX should start at about $33,000 MSRP, but Acura has not released retail or invoice pricing data yet
Fuel economy: traditional RDX should have city/highway car ratings comparable to that of current model (19/24 mpg). No information available yet on the hybrid RDX.
Acceleration: all-wheel drive 2010 RDX completes 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds; 2011 model will likely have similar numbers
Car safety features: brake assist, anti-lock brakes, front-seat side airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, active front head restraints, and side-curtain airbags
Acura hasn’t said much about the new styling of the "2011 RDX", but you can expect major changes--The shining star of the 2011 Acura RDX is, undoubtedly, its first-rate engine. Braking and handling will probably also remain the same, as Acura just revised the brakes on the RDX in 2010.

2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Car of the Year
Here's one more Car of the Year list, from Playboy. We have no problems with the winners, since they all carry a goodly dose of technology, including the over-the-top gull-wing door Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, $183,000 list, with a 563-hp V8 engine that reaches 60 mph in 3. seconds, a space-frame chassis, navigation system (an older version, alas), Bang & Olufsen audio (plus the music from the engine), and adaptive cruise control. In exchange for snug space for your legs in the cockpit, you are guaranteed quick access from the parking valet, who'll leave the SLS AMG out front and center. Other winners after the jump:
These are Playboy's other top cars for 2011: • Convertible - Porsche Boxster Spyder • SUV - Jeep Grand Cherokee • Hybrid - Honda CR-Z • Sports Sedan - Aston Martin Rapide • Most likely to succeed in 2011 - Hyundai Equus
Here's one more Car of the Year list, from Playboy. seconds, a space-frame chassis, navigation system (an older version, alas), Bang & Olufsen audio (plus the music from the engine), and adaptive cruise control.
Not that the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG still needs much hype, but winning the 2011 Playboy Car of the Year adds another feather on the cap of the luxury grand tourer.
It’s easy to see why the SLS AMG is worthy of being anyone’s Car of the Year.
Not surprisingly, the supreme title was awarded to the supercar Mercedes SLS AMG in Stuttgart.
the top couldn’t miss Aston Martin Rapide, this year’s most attractive sedan, hailed by several professional auto magazines.

Honda recalling about 10,800 Accord sedans and Pilot sport
Honda Motor Co. is recalling about 10,800 Accord sedans and Pilot sport utility vehicles to prevent possible front suspension failure.
A potential problem with the machinery used to tighten the spindle nuts on the front axles of both vehicles, as well as the damper attachment bracket bolts for the Pilot, may cause the front suspension failure in a small number of vehicles, Honda said.
Owners of identified model year 2010 to 2011 Accord and model year 2011 Pilot vehicles will receive notification to bring their vehicle to a Honda dealer for inspection. After inspection of the Accord, the dealer will replace the spindle nuts; after inspection of the Pilot, the dealer will replace the spindle nuts and if necessary the front damper attachment bracket bolts.
Honda is announcing this recall to encourage all owners of affected vehicles to take their vehicle to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification from Honda that their vehicle requires repair. Honda owners can go to www.recalls.honda.com or call (800) 999-1009, and select option 4.

2011 Chrysler 300 next month at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show
Today, the company revealed interior images along with more information on the features of the full-size sedan. The biggest news inside — besides an entirely new interior — is the 8.4-inch LCD touch-screen multimedia center that comes standard in the Chrysler 300. We recently tested it in the 2011 Dodge Journey, and it offers a lot of capability, though navigation is not standard. The steering wheel looks to be similarly meaty to those in the Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
A panoramic sunroof — not usually seen on sedans of any type – is another premium option.
Chrysler has extensively reworked its flagship sedan, the" 2011 Chrysler 300", which makes its public debut next month at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show and begins reaching U.S. dealers in the first quarter.
Chrysler also has upgraded the materials in the cabin, which features a redesigned instrument cluster, sapphire-blue LED ambient lighting, wood trim and optional heated and ventilated nappa-leather seats.
Chrysler will launch at Detroit Auto Show the Chrysler 300 facelift. The admiral ship of Chrysler range received a facelift. Clearly, the Fiat-Chrysler alliance led to a series of bizarre events, such as a Lancia model with Mercedes platform and Chrysler engines. The model is still offered with either rear wheel drive or all wheel drive.
Because we speak by a facelift, the aesthetic modifications are the main change of Chrysler 300 model.

2011 Kia Forte reviews
The 2011 Kia Forte ranks 3 out of 32 Affordable Small Cars. Kia succeeded, and the 2010 Forte became a reviewer favorite for its ample cargo space, affordable price and strong list of standard features. For 2011, Kia Forte sedan and Koup models remain largely unchanged. Kia, however, has added another model to the Forte lineup: a five-door hatchback.
The new transmission should improve fuel economy, but Kia nor the EPA have released fuel economy ratings.
In addition to a new transmission, the hatchback is shorter in length than the 2010 Kia Forte sedan and Koup, but it’s still longer than the Honda Fit, Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Golf. Some aspects of the five-door hatchback carry over to the 2011sedan and Koup models. The 2011 Kia Forte five-door hatchback will be available this fall, but Kia has not provided a release date for the 2011 Forte sedan and Koup. Unlike the Fiesta and Forte, the Fit is only available as a hatchback.
The 2011 Kia Forte has three model options: a sedan, Koup and a five-door hatchback--Kia hasn’t released pricing information for the 2011 models.
At the leading edge, along with the Forte, are the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze and 2011 Hyundai Elantra.
The Cruze is a roomy compact, almost mid-size by some gauges, and it has top-notch safety along with a new fuel-efficient 1.4-liter turbocharged engine; the new Hyundai Elantra also promises to be a top contender, with 40-mpg highway ratings across the model line.
Bluetooth and steering-wheel controls with voice activation aren't standard on most of these other models, but they are on the Forte—even the base LX model.

2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Reviews
Should you wait for the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport? Styling: As its name suggests, the "2011 Mitsubishi Outlander" Sport plays Mini Me to the Mitsubishi Outlander compact SUV. The Outlander Sport is more than a foot shorter than the Outlander in overall length and is essentially a wagon-on-stilts version of the Mitsubishi Lancer compact car. The Outlander Sport will have seating positions for five, with fold-down rear seats. Like the Lancer, the 2011 Outlander Sport will come with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (AWD). It’s quite possible the CVT will be the only transmission offered on AWD Outlander Sports.
On the safety-feature front, expect the Outlander Sport to follow Lancer’s lead with rear drum brakes standard on lower-line models.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander ranks 10 out of 24 Affordable Compact SUVs. At first glance, the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander seems like a compact SUV that’s just average. Before settling on the Outlander, though, reviewers recommend you check out the competition. Test drivers complain about the Outlander’s unrefined engine and interior materials that just seem cheap. Note that the RAV4 can’t match the Outlander’s warranty coverage, however.
The Outlander was freshened in 2010, so 2011 sees few changes.
The latest industry trend to be spotted at the New York auto show was the incredible shrinking crossover, exemplified by the Nissan Juke and this Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. A base model with manual transmission weighs in at an estimated 3050 pounds, thanks to features like recycled-plastic front fenders and extensive use of high-strength steel. Mitsubishi claims that the "Mitsubishi Outlander" Sport will get an EPA number of 31 mpg on the highway.
Like the regular Mitsubishi Outlander, the Sport is front-wheel drive, with an optional all-wheel-drive system. The uplevel SE model has features such as automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated front seats, and a keyless entry system as standard. The Outlander Sport goes on sale at the end of 2010 as a 2011 model.

The 2011 BMW 328i
The rear-wheel drive BMW 328i is available in coupe, sedan, wagon and cabriolet bodies, while the xDrive all-wheel drive system is available in coupe, sedan and wagon only. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on all variations, with a six-speed automatic transmission optional.
As BMW runs a war path with new model introductions — two gigantic, turtle-shaped crossovers a year, at this pace — they haven't forgotten where the profit margin lies. It's in the little 3 Series. Young maverick-type men and attractive suburban women can't, for the life of themselves, stay away from this car. So BMW's getting generous. It's a no-charge combo of 17-inch alloys, leather and iPod integration. In other words, BMW looked dumb selling a luxury car with 16-inchers, fake leather, and a $400 USB cable when Audi, Acura and even Mercedes do more for less.
At about the same time the 2011 BMW 328i Sport Wagon became available at U.S. dealers the all-new 5-series was also. If BMW’s X3 or X5 Sport Activity Vehicles meet your need, then you are still OK. If you wanted a car with space and versatility, then the 3-sport wagon is it.
The interior of the 3-wagon is stylish, comfortable and ergonomically friendly. For those bad weather conditions especially winter, in addition to the xDrive all-wheel–drive system, Dynamic Stability, Traction and Brake Control systems enhance the driving experience and overall safety. Looking at the X3, BMW’s smaller Sport Activity Vehicle or crossover, pricing starts at $38,850 whereas the Sport Wagon starts at $37,700. The X3 is a little quicker 0 to 60 mph at 7.1 sec. v 7.3 sec. for the Sport Wagon but there is a fuel economy tradeoff with the Sport Wagon at 17 city mpg and 26 highway mpg and the X3 at 17 city mpg but 24 highway mpg.
The Sport Wagon holds 25 cu. ft. behind the rear seat and the X3 holds 30 cuft. On the outside, the Sport Wagon is 1.3 inches shorter and a significant 10.2 inches lower. The empty-nester couple will be very comfortable in the Sport Wagon and the 4-doors and rear seat allow for easy accommodation of friends or family.
Most BMW dealers will provide a BMW loaner if you schedule it in advance…always a quick test drive opportunity
