2011 honda crz review

The 2011 Honda CR-Z. As it’s closely related to the 2010 Honda Insight five-door hatchback, Honda is careful to pitch the CR-Z as a hybrid sports coupe, and to put a little distance between its illustrious hot-hatch history. The CRX was a halo car for the whole Honda brand; the CR-Z feels just like a two-door Insight with less cohesive looks and worse gas mileage.

Honda's latest hybrid, the 2011 CR-Z, attempts to be both sporty and a hybrid, and it has middling success at each.

The CR-Z's higher trim level, the EX, adds features like Bluetooth, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, aluminum shift knob (manual), aluminum pedals, additional interior accents and a more powerful stereo with a subwoofer. I drove EX Navi versions, both manual and automatic.

My first and most lasting impression was how comfortable the CR-Z's ride is. A high point is the CR-Z's precise, well-weighted steering from what Honda notes is the company's smallest steering wheel. The handling is definitely sporty, but the CR-Z didn't beg to be driven hard. What many car reviewers call underpowered, I call modestly powered. The CR-Z is meant to be a sporty, fun car. Sporty cars typically are less efficient than normal ones, and a sporty hybrid can be expected to be less efficient than a normal hybrid. The CR-Z is, as shown below.

At the Honda CR-Z launch, in fact, Honda plopped us down in a cherry 1985 CRX Si and told us to go nuts. Where the impish CRX used lightness and a stripped-down approach to deliver entertainment and efficiency, the CR-Z looks to a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain. Particularly with the three-mode adjustable drive system in sport mode, it’s a relatively fun little car. At 160.6 inches long, the "Honda CR-Z" is 16 inches longer than the original CRX, but it doesn’t look like that much with the two cars side by side; for modern reference, the CR-Z is an inch shorter than Honda’s own Fit. It’s not as light, however, with Honda estimates putting the CR-Z around 2700 pounds.

It mates to Honda’s Integrated Motor Assist hybrid system as seen in the Insight, which is comprised of a nickel-metal hydride battery pack and a 13-hp electric motor. In sport, throttle sensitivity is increased, the steering tightens, the electric motor provides more assistance on manual-equipped cars, and in CVT models, the “gear ratios” are optimized for acceleration.

The mileage returned by the Honda CR-Z isn’t as stellar as you’d expect in a hybrid this small, at 31 mpg city and 37 mpg highway with a manual and 35/39 with the CVT. (The EPA tests were run in normal mode.) Would those numbers be the same if the car were lighter with no hybrid gadgetry? —remember that Honda has the Insight and upcoming Fit hybrid to appeal to the hypermiler crowd. The CR-Z is a sporty car with green leanings more than anything else, and that likely guided the engineers’ efficiency targets.

The chassis plays a big part in making the hybrid experience transparent. Where the CR-Z impresses most is in ride quality.
The Honda CR-Z comes in three flavors: base, EX, and EX with navigation. Standard across the range are stability control, power mirrors, power locks and windows, keyless entry, automatic climate control, cruise control, a tilting and telescoping steering column, USB and auxiliary inputs, LED taillamps, and the three-mode drive system. Further, all those CVT buyers will effectively negate the CR-Z’s reason for being, its sportiness.

2011 Honda Accord

Car. This SE model, for one thing. It’s the fifth and middle trim level for the Accord sedan, essentially an LX-P that adds heated leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power lumbar on the driver’s seat, and SE (Special Edition) badging. The auto-equipped four-cylinder sedans are the coffee achievers here, jumping 2 mpg in the city (to 23), 3 mpg on the highway (34), and 2 mpg combined, for a best-in-class blended rating of 27 mpg. Careful observers and slushbox defenders will note that auto-trans Accords get better fuel economy than manual-equipped ones. That’s because Honda rightly amps up the gearing on its manual models for performance.

What midsize sedan should I buy?" The answer to this question has long been "Honda Accord." With impressive new competitors, the 2011 Honda Accord now has more serious rivals to compete against.

Unfortunately, the Accord's interior hasn't changed much for 2011. The Accord also comes in a sporty coupe body style, something that few other automakers offer in their midsize models. So we still recommend the Accord. The 2011 Honda Accord is available as a midsize sedan and coupe. The sedan comes in LX, LX-P, SE, EX and EX-L trim levels, while the coupe comes in LX-S, EX and EX-L trims.

The LX-P trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels and an eight-way power driver seat. The SE adds leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver lumbar and heated front seats. The coupe's LX-S trim is equipped similarly to the LX sedan, but gets 17-inch wheels and a six-disc CD changer. The EX coupe does not include the power-adjustable driver lumbar, but does get the EX-L sedan's upgraded stereo without satellite radio. The 2011 Honda Accord LX trims and SE are powered by a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that produces 177 horsepower and 161 pound-feet of torque. With the automatic, EPA-estimated fuel economy for both LX and EX versions is 23 mpg city/34 mpg highway and 27 mpg combined. The Accord EX and EX-L can be equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 good for 271 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque (251 with the manual-equipped coupe). Every 2011 Honda Accord comes with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags and side curtain airbags.

With the 2011 Accord, Honda is upping the ante yet again. With two different 4-cylinder engines available, and one souped-up V6, the 2011 Honda Accord should please those with a need for speed. Five-speed automatic and manual transmissions are available, and all Accords feature front wheel drive.

Pricing: prices of the new Accord range from $21,180 to $31,730 MSRP; no invoice data available
Fuel economy:23 mpg in the city, 34 mpg on the highway, 27 mpg combined

Engine: two four-cylinder engine options, one offering 180 horsepower, the other 195 horsepower. Drivetrain: four-cylinder engines can be paired with a five-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission; V6 Accord coupes are available with a six-speed manual

Acceleration: V6 2011 Accord completes 0-60 mph in about 7.5 seconds

Model lineup: no changes are expected to the current lineup of Accords despite rumors of a resurrected gas-electric hybrid Accord.

The brakes in the 2010 Honda Accord were sub-par, so Honda may tweak them for the new model year.

Although it performs admirably on the freeway, the "2011 Honda Accord" does suffer from slightly elevated road noise that may bother some drivers.

The light, assured handling of the Honda Accord, combined with its fuel efficiency and punchy horsepower, makes it a true pleasure to drive. The 3.5-liter V6 engine produces a whopping 271 horsepower. In initial photos of the 2011 Honda Accord, you’ll see an extremely futuristic-looking car with high body lines and pulled-back headlights.

When combined with climate control, riding inside of a Honda Accord is an immersive, pleasurable experience.

Drivers have come to expect quality from Honda vehicles; the 2011 Accord does not disappoint. There are plenty of perks involved with the 2011 Honda Accord. Honda has
comprehensive warranty policies that give drivers significant peace of mind. For those individuals with families, the "Honda Accord" is the best choice in terms of maximizing comfort for multiple passengers.

2011 Honda CR-V

2011 Honda CR-V Review
The 2011 Honda CR-V ranks 5 out of 23 Affordable Compact SUVs. "It's fun, cute and practical, and it's a bargain,” says Cars.com. The 2011 Honda CR-V is a Renaissance man -- or woman -- of the automotive industry. The Honda CR-V’s ability to accomplish so much has made it an award winner. Other affordable small SUVs make up for the 2011 Honda CR-V’s shortcomings. Fuel economy on the Tiguan, however, is low. It only nets 19/26 mpg city/highway, which is pathetic in comparison to the GMC Terrain’s average of 22/32 mpg city/highway. If you want even better fuel economy, try the Ford Escape Hybrid, which gets 34/31 mpg city/highway. For a compact SUV with a more striking appearance, check out the $22,745 Chevrolet Equinox. The 2011 Honda CR-V has three trim options -- the base LX, mid-level EX and luxurious EX-L. Shoppers can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

The prices for the "2011 Honda CR-V" models will be announced in the middle of this year. Pricing for the base model should start at $22,700 for the vehicles equipped with front-wheel drive. Meanwhile, those with an all-wheel drive system is priced slightly higher at $23,900.

The Honda CR-V charged into the breach back in 1996, showing traditional SUV buyers that a rapier could work as well as a broadsword. When gas prices turned the body-on-frame market topsy-turvy, might didn't necessarily equal right. This supposedly weak little softroader stole the SUV sales crown from atop the Ford Explorer's head where it had sat untouched for 15 years from 1991 through 2006.

But the battlefield has changed and the 2010 Honda CR-V is facing formidable challengers on all sides. Most offer a V6 engine, having grown in size and power to resemble those mid-size SUVs they once displaced. The 2010 model is armed with 14 more horsepower and a long list of standard and optional equipment. So... is the CR-V this segment's once and future king or is time to crown another? This newest CR-V still has the same Outback-aping lower cladding and controversially curved D-pillar in profile, but the rear bumper gets a bit of liposculpturing to differentiate it from the '09.

Our "Polished Metal Metallic" (new for '10) EX-L also sported the new split five spoke (a.k.a. 10-spoke) 17-inch alloy wheels that you'll find on EX and EX-L models. The 2010 Honda CR-V EX-L w/Navi 4WD (an irksome mouthful) is the top-of-the-line model and comes ready for battle with a sunroof, Bluetooth, touch-screen navigation, TPMS, leather, back-up cam and automatic headlights – a first for the Honda CR-V.

That MSRP, we might add, is the highest price you can pay for a CR-V. The electronic "ears" in the Honda system did a great job of listening too, only flubbing our commands once or twice.

It's a big cargo hold, measuring 35.7 cubic feet even before you fold down the rear bench. The stereo sounded great, the navigation system got us where we needed to go without hassle, the climate control system worked perfectly and calls using the Bluetooth system were clear. The CR-V's upgraded 2.4-liter DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder has corralled 14 more horses since last year, with output now rated a more class-worthy 180 horsepower. While the 2010 power boost is much appreciated, this CR-V is definitely not as fast as a RAV-4 or Equinox. Those tires contributed to the noticeable road noise at freeway speeds, but the CR-V's cabin isn't any louder than its competitors.

Times have certainly changed in the SUV world. Our admittedly loaded 2010 Honda CR-V EX-L w/Navi 4WD was priced at a healthy $30,455, but offered more amenities than most shoppers will need. The CR-V's numbers, however, don't make it a standout on paper. Make no mistake though, the 2010 Honda CR-V is no Prince Charming. The extra power, equipment and refinement of the 2010 model should keep it near the top a bit longer.

2011 Honda Civic si reviews

Witness the 2011 Honda Civic. As far as the aforementioned flavors, there's something here for everyone from the fuel-sipping Civic Hybrid and clean-burning natural-gas Civic GX to the high-performance Civic Si.

The sporty Civic Si has most of the EX's features plus a more powerful engine, a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires, foglights, sport seats and special interior trim.

The automotive press really likes the "2011 Honda Civic", and regard the Civic for its good fuel economy, reliability and practicality, which are characteristics many shoppers value most. The Civic isn’t flawless. For exceptional fuel economy, try the Honda Civic Hybrid, which averages 40/45 mpg city/highway.
Choosing to buy a Civic is the easy part. Rather than allow shoppers to select the options they want, Honda offers additional features to each trim level. Most shoppers will start with the DX-VP trim because it offers air conditioning. The Civic SI, the performance-oriented trim, is also available and offers 57 more horsepower than the base model, a few more performance options and a starting price of around $7,000 more than the base Civic.

The Civic also comes in two eco-friendly options: the Honda Civic Hybrid, which is reviewed separately, and the GX, a hybrid alternative that runs on Compressed Natural Gas. It costs about $10,000 more than a base Civic.

The 2011 Honda Civic returns unchanged from 2010 as Honda prepares to launch an all-new 2012 Honda Civic. The 2011 Civic repeats sedan and coupe body styles and is again available as a gas-electric hybrid sedan. Slightly larger than the coupe, the Civic sedan is roomier and rides softer. Should you buy a 2011 Honda Civic or wait for the 2012 Honda Civic? Styling: The 2011 Honda Civic styling carries over unchanged from model-year 2010. The Civic four-door is notably roomy, with particularly generous rear-seat room for a compact car. Mechanical: The 2011 Civic powertrain lineup segues into 2011 intact except for a reduction in the model variations available with manual transmission. The 2011 Civic formula of four-cylinder engines and front-wheel drive is compact-car typical. In a change from model-year 2010, the 2011 Civic EX-L sedans now come only with automatic transmission; same goes for the EX sedan and EX-L Coupe models equipped with a navigation system and satellite radio.

The sporty 2011 Civic Si coupe and sedan have a 2.0-liter that returns with 197 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. The Civic Hybrid employs a continuously variable transmission, or CVT. This Civic GX sedan has a 113-horspower 1.8-liter powered exclusively by natural gas.

The LX and EX Civic families use 16-inch tires (on alloy wheels on EX models and the LX-S sedan) and furnish fine all-around grip. The various 2011 Civic models continue with the familiar range of features. Antiskid control to stabilize the car in turns is standard on EX-L, Hybrid, and Si models.

new 2012 Honda Civic during the Detroit Auto Show press preview

Honda will unveil the coupe and sedan prototypes of the all-new 2012 Honda Civic during the Detroit Auto Show press preview on January 10 and 11, 2011.

Considering all the positive feedback generated by the CR-Z, it’s a safe bet that the Civic’s new styling will be heavily inspired by the two-seater. Will the Civic keep the 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre i-VTEC mills? Auto123 will be presenting it, with great pleasure, in our section dedicated to the Detroit Auto Show.

The 2011 Detroit Auto Show, also known by its North American International Auto Show moniker, is arguably one of the world's most important motor shows. There’s no shortage of eye-candy concepts either, such as the GMC Sierra All-Terrain HD and Kia KV7.
Once again, a number of automakers will skip the Detroit auto show, which opens to the press on Monday and to the public on Jan. 15.California in November or Detroit in January?

Other absentees will include Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Suzuki, Mitsubishi and the electric-vehicle manufacturer Fisker. Maurice Daniel, a Mitsubishi spokesman, was asked the same question. “Our message and product line are better suited to those markets.”

By any standard, Detroit is a major show. First held in 1907, it remained a local event until the late ’80s, when its promoters resolved to expand the show’s reach, renaming it the North American International Auto Show. The New York auto show, by comparison, was first sanctioned in 2008.

2011 Honda Fit Reviews

Should you buy a 2011 Honda Fit or wait for the 2012 Honda Fit? The 2012 Fit is likely to receive Fit’s first appearance updates since its model-year 2009 introduction. The 2011 Honda Fit’s styling is a rerun of the 2010 Fit’s. The 2011 Honda Fit reprises a three-model lineup: the base Fit, the Fit Sport, and the Fit Sport with a navigation system. This antiskid technology was previously exclusive to the Fit Sport with Navigation.

Otherwise, the 2011 Fit is a mechanical repeat. Transmission choices for the 2011 Fit base and basic Sport models are a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. Fit’s suspension is also subcompact-typical, with a rear torsion beam and drum brakes. All Fit Sport models now also come with fitted floormats, which previously were an extra-cost accessory. Beyond these changes, the 2011 Fit features list mirrors the 2010 version’s.
The navigation system continues to be limited to the Fit Sport, where its addition creates a separate model.

Exclusive to Fit Sport models are a security system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and cabin map lights. Fit’s audio system is a 160-watt single-CD unit with four speakers on base models and six on Sports. Fit’s defining feature remains an innovation Honda calls the Magic Seat.

The Honda Fit has long been a darling of the affordable small car market due to its distinctive styling, nimble handling and spunky performance. One thing’s for sure - the Honda Fit’s still got it. Anti-skid protection, not included in the Fit’s competition, provides a much-needed check on the exuberant driving that the Fit inspires.
One of the elements most maligned in the older Fit models was the quality of the interior materials. Thankfully, Honda got the message and upgraded the interior materials and styling to feel a little bit more comfortable. Known as the “Magic Seat,” the Honda Fit can easily be configured to fit items as tall as bicycles or as long as skis.

The “Fit Sport” model comes with built-in security system, USB connectivity, a leather steering wheel and cabin map lights.
The 2011 Honda Fit ranks 3 out of 32 Affordable Small Cars. The "2011 Honda Fi"t is a press favorite and has received numerous accolades from the automotive industry. Of course, the Fit isn’t perfect. One of the most prominent reviewer complaints concerns the Fit’s buzzy engine. "The Fit is pretty near the top of my favorite-cars list,” says the Los Angeles Times.

The Fit’s biggest drawback is its price. The Fit’s price is average for hatchbacks. Other hatchbacks on the market include the Ford Fiesta hatchback, which starts at $15,120, just a 20 bucks more than the Honda Fit. The Fiesta’s shaking the automotive industry with high fuel economy ratings, stellar performance and uncommonly high build quality. Kia is also introducing the Forte Five-door Hatchback. You can also save money by looking at used 2009 Fits and 2010 Fits still on dealer lots.

2011 honda accord , the possibility of oil leakage..

Concerned about possible oil leaks in one of its popular K series engines, Honda is notifying 1,200 owners to visit their local dealer for an inspection. The affected engine is the 2.4-liter four-cylinder found under the hood of the 2011 Honda Accord (non-V6 models) and 2011 Honda CR-V (all models).

According to a service bulletin the automaker sent to its dealers on December 3, an engine part may have been cast improperly, thereby allowing engine oil to leak.

2011 honda ridgeline review

The Honda Ridgeline last received a few changes in 2009. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline will see a redesign for 2011. Expect the vehicle to be released in late 2010.

Exterior photos of the new design of the Ridgeline have been seen. The grille design is different, but the vehicle remains a four-door crew cab truck. Two-zone automatic climate control, powered seats, fog lights, leather upholstery, satellite radio, and Bluetooth should be available on upgraded trims. As part of the redesign, trim levels, and features that are included in each model, may see changes. The performance of the "2011 Honda Ridgeline" could change dramatically as a result of its redesign.

the 2011 Honda Ridgeline will retain the styling introduced from the previous year’s edition, which therefore suggests that it can also be categorized as a crossover SUV. It will feature a unibody structure. There is no nocieable change in the exterior features for 2011 Ridgeline . There are four trim levels available to choose from: base model or RT, RTS, leather-upholstered RTL, and the RTL with navigation system.

The Honda Ridgeline has phenomenal safety feature – and it emplys the curtain-side airbags. The air conditioning comes as standard option.

The 2011 Honda Ridgeline carries over unchanged from the 2010 Honda Ridgeline. The 2011 Ridgeline is usefully strong, cleverly versatile, remarkably comfortable, and wincingly ugly.

Should you buy the "2011 Honda Ridgeline" or wait for the 2012 Honda Ridgeline? Buy a 2011 Honda Ridgeline. By contrast, the 2011 Ridgeline continues with the single crew-cab body and 5-foot-long cargo bed it’s had since its model-year 2006 introduction. In reality, Ridgeline’s unibody structure integrates a very rigid boxed frame. The cargo bed is just 5-feet long – among the shortest in pickup land. Ridgeline’s lockable compartment hides a functional 8.5 cubic feet of storage space. Ridgeline’s sedan-like greenhouse and low hood line also defy old-school pickup custom. The high-hat cab pays off with full-size-pickup-caliber front-seat room and with rear-seat accommodations that go far beyond those of any compact pickup and into midsize-SUV territory.

The 2011 Ridgeline returns in four levels of trim: base RT, better-equipped RTS, leather-upholstered RTL, and top-line RTL with navigation. There’s little to differentiate them visually, though the RTS has 17-inch alloy wheels and body-color trim to the RT’s 17-inch steel wheels and dark trim. Like Pilot – but unlike any other pickup -- Ridgeline is essentially a front-wheel-drive vehicle; all other pickups are based on rear-wheel-drive designs. Ridgeline actually comes standard with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that normally runs in front-wheel-drive but can redirect power to the rear wheels during acceleration and low-traction conditions.

The 2011 Ridgeline’s 5,000-towing capacity compares favorably with that of any crew-cab V-6 compact pickup. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline returns with a long list of standard and optional features but, per Honda custom, it doesn’t offer individual options. The 2011 Ridgeline RTS adds to the RT alloy wheels; body-color door handles; painted inner grille surfaces; dual-zone automatic climate control; an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support; deep-tint windows; and all-weather floor mats. The Ridgeline RT’s audio system is a six-speaker, 100-watt unit with a single-disc CD player. Other 2011 Ridgeline models have a seven-speaker 160-watt system with subwoofer and six-disc in-dash changer, plus steering wheel audio controls and an auxiliary input jack.

Honda Ridgeline reviews

Honda rehabilitated the Honda Ridgeline with a host of slight improvements that affected its styling and driving demeanor, yielding a somewhat improved truck overall. The "2010 Honda Ridgeline" has a single powertrain combination, which is unusual in the pickup market.

For those consumers who desire a friendlier pickup that can still handle those occasional jobs, there's the Honda Ridgeline. The "Honda Ridgeline" pickup is available in just one four-door body style. Rather than having a separate cab and bed, the Ridgeline's body unites the two. Although it shares some of its running gear with the Honda Pilot, fully 90 percent of the Honda Ridgeline is unique and should not just be considered the pickup version of Honda's SUV.

Comfortable seats, plenty of storage cubbies, sound ergonomics, smooth, quiet performance and a relatively manageable size make the Honda Ridgeline a viable option as the sole family vehicle. If you need the passenger space of an SUV and the utility of a pickup truck, but want nimble carlike handling, the Ridgeline is an excellent choice.

The Honda Ridgeline was introduced for the 2006 model year, available in RTS, RTX, RTS and RTL trim levels.

The 2010 Honda Ridgeline ranks 2 out of 4 Sport Utility Trucks. This ranking is based on our analysis of 61 published reviews and test drives of the Honda Ridgeline, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

The Honda Ridgeline delivers plenty of truck for most people. Though it isn't as rugged as some competitors, the Honda Ridgeline offers just enough capability for weekend warriors headed to Home Depot. Price is where the Ridgeline takes on many SUTs. Base truck models can undercut the Honda Ridgeline price by several thousand dollars.

If you need more truck in your SUT, check out the Chevy Avalanche. If you're serious about capability and saving money, check out our compact and full-size truck rankings. Honda Ridgeline is unchanged for 2010. If you're interested in the Honda Ridgeline, check out our Honda Deals page, where we've done the research to find you the best price on a new Honda.

Honda CR-Z hybrid

The Honda CR-Z hybrid

The Honda CR-Z hybrid might be the least anticipated gas-electric car heading to the market. Honda says that the CR-Z combines fun, small and efficient in a sporty package. After the first month on the market in Japan, Honda received more than 10,000 orders.

The Honda CR-Z hybrid borrows much of the hybrid system from the Honda Insight—but its engine has 16 valves instead of the Insight's eight. The Honda CR-Z hybrid 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine—compared to the Insight’s 1.3—is also mated to a six-speed manual gearbox—making it the only hybrid on the market available with a manual transmission. The Honda CR-Z hybrid clearly borrows its overall shape from the Honda CRX sports car, a version of the Civic that was produced from 1984 to 1991.

A Sports Car Without Maximum Speed
According to Automotive News, the engineer had to convince executives at American Honda Motor that US drivers would want a sporty-looking hybrid. The Honda CR-Z hybrid hits American shores in mid-2010.

Hybrids are many things. Sporty? No one in their right mind would call hybrids sporty.

Honda delivers much-needed excitement to eco-friendly driving with the CR-Z, an attractive, affordable hybrid that's a genuine hoot to drive. The thing is, the CR-Z doesn't feel like a hybrid. There's no lag when the 10-kilowatt electric motor hands off to the 1.5-liter engine. Econ shifts the equation toward maximum fuel efficiency. (Honda hasn't finalized pricing.)

New 2011 Honda Odyssey

The 2011 Honda Odyssey is fully redesigned with a fresh look inside and out. Improved fuel economy and a second-row bench that accommodates three child safety seats are also part of the 2011 Odyssey redesign.

Should you wait for the "2011 Honda Odyssey" or buy a 2010 Honda Odyssey? If you’ve got an immediate need for an eight-passenger family vehicle, consider a 2010 Odyssey.

The 2011 Honda Odyssey gets an all-new body that tries mightily to inject some spice into the minivan formula. Honda calls these people “hesitaters” and hopes the 2011 Odyssey’s sleek new look makes minivan ownership palatable to them.

Honda designers say minivans look most generic when viewed from the side. Wheelbase remains at 118.1 inches. Returning higher up the line will be the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring, with the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite designated the new flagship model.

Honda confirms the "2011 Odyssey LX" will have two second-row bucket seats for seven-passenger capacity. All other 2011 Odyssey models will again seat up to eight, a capacity matched among minivans only by the Sienna. The outgoing Odyssey’s second-row seat accommodated up to two child seats. On the 2011 Odyssey, the second-row’s middle section can slide forward for better access to your kid from the front row.

Is it true that you should generally stay away from purchasing the 1st year of a redesigned model? It seems that the captains chairs on 2011 odyssey can no longer be placed together. Can someone verify this?

Honda is being stingy with details about its "new 2011 Odyssey minivan". Wider, Lower, Longer
Designed and engineered wholly in North America, the 2011 Odyssey is both wider and lower than the outgoing model. The track goes up 1.4 inches while overall height drops 1.6 inches. Honda calls the new Odyssey's look an example of "Lightning Bolt Design." No cleverly hiding that track in the base of the side glass for Honda.

Again, there's no word from Honda about horsepower and torque ratings. Honda has, however, let out preliminary EPA fuel mileage ratings for the 2011 Odyssey of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

2010 Honda Accord review and price

2010 Honda Accord

The 2010 Honda Accord Affordable Midsize Cars. The Honda Accord has been one of Car and Driver's 10 Best for 23 straight years. After its 2008 redesign, the Honda Accord was named Motor Week's Best Family Sedan. Reviewers praise the 2010 Honda Accord for its roomy interior (so large that the government classifies the Accord as a large car, though most reviewers treat it as a midsize), strong reliability history and high resale value. The Accord is an outstanding choice for many buyers. But the class of affordable midsize cars is changing.

Be sure to check for current Honda Deals that may be available on a 2010 Honda Accord.

Last redesigned in 2008, the Honda Accord enters 2010 with few significant changes. You’ll need to step up to a more expensive 2010 Honda Accord trim level to get
Among popularly priced midsize cars, the Honda Accord is an unbeatable brew of smart engineering, efficient packaging, and rewarding road manners. Available as a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe, Accord is one of America’s most-popular cars, and we judge the EX sedan with the four-cylinder engine as the top all-around value in the Accord lineup.

Should you buy a 2010 Honda Accord or wait for the 2011 Honda Accord?
The only 2010 Honda Accord styling changes are newly available dress-up items designed by renowned Honda racing-accessory purveyor MUGEN. Available for the Accord sedan, they lend a sporty look to a design introduced for model-year 2008. In both wheelbase and overall body length, Accord is among the largest cars in the midsize class. Sedans come in four basic models labeled LX, LX-P, EX, and EX-L.

Coupes come in three models: LX-S, EX, and EX-L. Visual differentiation is subtle: models with the V-6 engine have dual exhaust outlets, and the LX sedan rides on 16-inch wheels with wheel covers while all other Accord sedans have alloy wheels in 16- or 17-inch diameter. Coupes have 17- or 18-inch alloys. Like every other midsize car, Accord has front-wheel drive, which puts the weight of the engine over the wheels that propel the car. LX and LX-P sedans have a 177-horsepower four-cylinder. The LX-S Coupe and all four-cylinder EX and EX-L models have a more advanced engine with 190 horsepower. EX and EX-L models are available with a 271-horsepower V-6. Four-cylinder Accords use a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. Also for 2010, EX sedans and EX-L sedans and coupes gain new rear-seat ventilation ducts for better rear-passenger airflow. In Honda tradition, Accord offers no options packages, instead increasing the level of equipment as you ascend the model line. EX-L models are the only Accords eligible for a navigation system.

The 2010 Honda Accord prices are slightly higher than base prices for most rivals. This reflects Honda’s practice of equipping Accords with standard features for which many others charge extra. The 2010 Honda Accord LX sedan is priced at $21,765 with manual transmission and $22,525 with automatic. The 2010 Honda Accord LX-P sedan is priced at $22,765, or $23,525 with automatic transmission.

The "2010 Honda Accord" EX sedan with the four-cylinder engine is priced at $24,540, or $25,340 with automatic transmission. The 2010 Honda Accord EX sedan with the V-6 engine is priced at $27,515.

The "2010 Honda Accord EX-L sedan price is $26,740 ($27,540 with automatic) and $29,815 with the V-6. The 2010 Honda Accord Coupe prices range from $23,265-$29,590 for four-cylinder models and from $30,015-$32,015 for V-6 versions".
Honda’s engineers will argue that Accord’s five-speed automatic transmissions suit it perfectly. Dashboard and controls: Accord’s dashboard also reflects the engineer’s eye. The 2010 feature changes are welcome but leave Accord vulnerable to aggressive competitors.

2011 Honda civic review

Goto Honda Dealer Search and Give your Address or the Zip Code of the location where you reside. With Toyota marred with the recalls that spot seems to have gone to Honda Civic. In a fashion similar to th 2011 Honda Civic, the 2011 Honda Civic, likely to be launched in August or September 2011 will body styles that will be similar to the 2010 Honda Civic.

2011 Honda Civic review

The 2011 Honda Civic should return essentially unchanged from 2010 as Honda prepares to launch an all-new 2012 Honda Civic. This tabs the 2011 Civic as a lame duck navigating the compact-car waters with a design that dates to model-year 2006. The 2011 Civic will repeat sedan and coupe body styles and again be available as a gas-electric hybrid sedan. Slightly larger than the coupe, the Civic sedan is roomier and rides softer. Should you wait for the 2011 Honda Civic or buy a 2010 Honda Civic?

Styling: The 2011 Honda Civic styling should carry over from 2010 with only a few new exterior colors to distinguish the two model years. The Civic four-door is notably roomy, with particularly generous rear-seat room for a compact car. Mechanical: The 2011 Civic powertrain lineup should segue into 2011 intact. Several have six-speed manual and automatic transmissions versus Civic’s less-efficient five-speed units. Optimists hope Honda will mark the end of this Civic design cycle by adding a high-performance model. The 2011 Honda Civic Hybrid will return as a sedan only and combine a 1.3-liter gas engine with an electric motor for a total of 110 horsepower. The Civic Hybrid employs a continuously variable transmission, or CVT. This Civic GX sedan has a 113-horspower 1.8-liter powered exclusively by natural gas.

Features: Honda doesn’t offer stand-alone options, instead grouping features to create individual trim levels. The various 2011 Civic models should continue with the familiar range of features. Antiskid control to stabilize the car in turns is standard on EX-L, Hybrid, and Si models. Alloy wheels, steering-wheel-mounted auxiliary audio controls, rear disc brakes, and remote keyless entry are among available features, depending on model.

When Honda showed the Honda CR-Z concept

When Honda showed the CR-Z concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2007, it appeared alongside some of the wacky Japanese design exercises that the biannual show is known for. The CR-Z doesn't resemble anything else in the Honda (or Acura) lineup. The CR-Z may look even weirder on paper. That original wedge-shaped Insight was rated at 65 miles per gallon in combined city-highway driving (a figure adjusted to 53 mpg after the calculation method was changed in 2008). By comparison, the combined economy rating for the current four-door Insight is 41 mpg. The Ford Fusion Hybrid is rated at 39 and the Toyota Prius at 50. The current, second-generation Insight seats four. (CR-Zs sold on other continents come with a tiny back seat.)

The petrol engine alone makes 113bhp at 6,100rpm and 107lb/ft at 4,800rpm, but total system output from both motors is 124bhp and 128lb/ft between just 1,000-1,500rpm.

How does the Honda CR-Z drive? Eco neuters the engine in the interests of economy, while normal is, well, normal and Sport sharpens the throttle response, primes the hybrid system to assist more and adds weight to the steering.

Honda claims a flaccid 10.2sec to 100kph.

Cockpit visuals aside, the Honda CR-Z shows absolutely no evidence of being a hybrid, but instead feels every bit the ’80s hot hatch. A great exhaust note that promises more than the engine delivers in raw grunt, but the steering, body control and brakes to make the most of it

The new layout ought to improve handling, but it definitely helps the stance; the mad origami styling is original and entirely modern but references Honda’s sharp, ’80s CR-X baby coupe
