2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe Sports performance
2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe.
This 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe, the first model in the brand’s new lineup, arrived in showrooms in August. Special note should be made of the exterior’s classic hardtop, angled windshield, sculpted lower front fascia and center outlet exhaust with twin dihedral-shaped tips and a rear spoiler. Yes, “bold as hell” sums it up.
It has an estimated fuel economy rating of 17 mpg city and 26 mpg highway plus offers a 25 percent drop in cold-start hydrocarbon emissions.
We could tell you all of the high-tech engineering feats that make the car’s performance and ride crisp but not stiff, but suffice to say the engineers obviously put great care into the car’s engine and suspension systems. The bottom line is this is a responsive, road-hugging champ that includes standard “StabliTrak” — an advanced electronic chassis control system.
An integrated iPod/MP3 system, 40-gig hard drive, pop-up navigation system and adaptive lighting are just some of the high-tech systems included.
The "2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe" is not your parents’ Caddy.
The Sports/Performance category saw a renewal of the rivalry between General Motors (represented by its Cadillac CTS-V Coupe) and Ford (which entered its Shelby Mustang), with a ringer thrown in, in the form of Mercedes-Benz, championed by its E550 Cabriolet.
Cadillac’s CTS-V sedan was an establishment rocker when introduced for 2004 with a 400-hp V-8 under its hood and overall performance rivalling some of the world’s hottest road cars. Joining it for 2011 are the CTS-V Sport Wagon and the CTS-V Coupe.
All the new "Cadillac CTS Coupe" are rear-wheel drive and feature keyless access/remote start and keyless auto-touch doors as well as ultrasonic rear-parking assist and a Bose sound system too. The Cadillac CTS Coupe comes in standard, performance, and premium models for 2011.
The premium and performance Cadillac CTS Coupe come equipped with Bluetooth technology, an integrated hard-drive for media storage, and adaptive headlamps. The price of the CTS Coupe models ranges from $38,165 to $51,035. Qualified buyers can receive 1.9 percent financing for 36 months on all 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe models.
